To start, I began creating a basic structure for the MVP version of the application. I noticed the app could benefit from multiple visualizations of cards for different use cases. If you had several cards, you might need a menu view that can visualize all cards at once.

In the beginning stages of the visual compositions, I focused heavily on motifs like water and magnolias, both key identity points of Louisiana. However, these explorations lack structure, which overcomplicates what should be a very simple design.

After the initial visual compositions, I realized I would need a better structure and hierarchy to create a more component design. UI elements were reworked to fit better with the users needs. Additionally, a stronger type system was put in place to improve readability.

After implementing a new visual direction and utilizing a stronger layout, I began to make progress. The design was starting to feel bolder while also being tech-forward. However, the overuse of purple in the palette, along with a lack of key imagery, was still holding the design back.

After the finalization of the branding and identity, I began working on a final visual composition. After a lot of iteration, I was able to produce a solution that I was satisfied with. The final product possesses a strong visual identity, while also incorporating some features that would improve the user experience. Scan tracking, different menu layout options, and biometric security features were all implemented.
